Our annual Operators’ Forum for HVDC projects has been scheduled for 26th – 27th June 2019, at The National HVDC Centre.
The overall purpose of the HVDC Operators’ Forum is to share experience, knowledge, and learnings for the mutual benefits of HVDC schemes primarily in GB, and the resulting benefit (& de-risking) of the GB Transmission Network and its customers. Building on the success of last year’s event, this year’s HVDC Operators’ Forum will include a 2nd day (i.e. 27th June) specifically focusing on HVDC innovations.
Day 1 is run as a ‘user group’ forum for those who currently (or are planning to) own and operate HVDC schemes. Invites are extended to embedded link, interconnectors and offshore wind projects using HVDC. They can be at any stage. We ask projects to actively participate and share lessons learnt from the preceding year. Day 1 is invite-only for HVDC Projects, SOs, TSOs, and TOs. To be considered please email, firstname.lastname@example.org, with the subject ‘Operators Forum 2019’.
Day 2 is our HVDC Innovation day. During this day, we will share the progress on the research projects that the HVDC Centre is funding, as well as sharing details on of the leading-edge innovation projects relating to HVDC. Day 2, has wider participation than day 1, including HVDC suppliers, NIC funded projects, HVDC innovation projects, and academics. If you have an HVDC related innovation project that you would also like to share, please contact us,
